Swami Vivekanand Vidya Mandir (est. 2006) is more than a school — it’s a mission to bring education, dignity, and hope to the children of Nagpur’s labor and slum communities.

Swami Vivekanand Vidya Mandir की शुरुआत 2006 में एक छोटे से कमरे से हुई थी।
हमारे संस्थापक का सपना था — “हर बच्चे को सस्ती और अच्छी शिक्षा मिले, चाहे वो किसी भी वर्ग का क्यों न हो।”
अधिकांश बच्चे मजदूर परिवारों से आते हैं। उनकी माँ-बाप रोज़ दिहाड़ी पर काम करते हैं,
लेकिन चाहते हैं कि उनके बच्चे पढ़-लिखकर ज़िंदगी बदलें।
इसी सोच से हमने सिर्फ ₹50 प्रति महीना की फीस रखी, ताकि कोई बच्चा स्कूल से वंचित न रह जाए।
Founded in 2006, SVVM began as a small community initiative with just a handful of students and one classroom.
Over the years, with the support of kind-hearted individuals, it has grown into a vibrant school educating over 530 students today.
Each step of our journey has been guided by our commitment to holistic learning, moral values, and community development.

Our History & Achievements
2005

During a meeting of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, a social worker shared about the plight of children in Vijaynagar basti, Nagpur.

The area had no proper education facilities — children of migrant laborers remained illiterate and vulnerable.

Inspired to bring change, the foundation idea for a school was born.
2006

With the blessings and guidance of community leaders, Shishu Mandir (Balwadi) was started in Vijaynagar.

The first classes began in small, temporary spaces, with a handful of children.

Focus was placed on discipline, good values, basic education, and cultural learning.
2007-2010

The number of children increased steadily as more parents realized the importance of education.

The institution expanded grade by grade, moving from Balwadi to primary classes.

Regular puja, prayers, and cultural programs were introduced to instill values.
2010-2015

The school grew into Swami Vivekanand Vidya Mandir, affiliated with the Maharashtra State Board.

Facilities like proper classrooms, furniture, and learning materials were added.

Students started participating in arts, music, and sports activities.

Introduction of Smart Classrooms for modern, interactive learning.
